The Illinois Alliance to Prevent Obesity's “3-Year Roadmap Goals” are a consensus agenda.* A broad coalition of experts agree, the actions and strategies enumerated in the 3-Year Goals are necessary to fully implement the State Obesity Action Roadmap and reverse the obesity epidemic in Illinois.
The 3-Year Goals are bold (yet attainable) solutions to Illinois' obesity epidemic -- solutions that are on scale with the seriousness of the problem we face.
The 3-Year Roadmap Goals were published on July 7, 2011.
* Members of the Illinois Alliance to Prevent Obesity (IAPO) are those that have endorsed the eight objectives listed in the IAPO Roadmap. However, IAPO’s 3-Year Goals constitute a consensus agenda. The establishment of this consensus agenda did not require unanimity among our member organizations. Public agencies and other members of IAPO do not necessarily individually endorse all of the IAPO’s 3-Year Goals.
